Releasing Higher-value FedEx Package without Customs Broker?

As an update, after working with a customs broker I was able to release the package within a little more than a week after the initial payment. I ended up working with this company based entirely on an internet search, and they were very professional: responsive to messages, clear and accurate...

Releasing Higher-value FedEx Package without Customs Broker?

Has anyone had success "liberating" a package from customs sent via FedEx/DHL/etc. that is over the $1,000 door-to-door delivery limit without using a customs broker? I'm including some relevant threads below for anyone else in a similar situation. I've already sent the package (so messages of...

Moving to Argentina how do I keep a US phone number?

There may be issues if you are trying to set up a new 2FA service, but if you already have 2FA setup I don't think banks are re-checking whether it's VOIP if you port your number to a different provider. As I said, I've had no issues with it and use 2FA for many websites, including banks.

Moving to Argentina how do I keep a US phone number?

As @julia_en_ruta mentioned, I've been using Numberbarn and have been able to receive 2FA's through it. I use the cheapest plan, so I get texts as emails, but this doesn't bother me. I've been using the service for over a year and no issues.

For any fellow cyclists out there, tonight at 9pm is the full moon Critical Mass/Masa Critica bike ride, and this Sunday at 4pm is the afternoon ride. Meeting point is the Obelisk. These are large, monthly group rides that aim to show that there are a lot of people who like biking in a city! The...

Looking for other board game players!

If their social media accounts are to be believed, they're still at it! I'm a fan of word games (like Scrabble), and also Euro-style games. I've also been known to play chess and card games! This Saturday isn't looking great for me anymore, would next Saturday (13/5) work for you @Monzi?

Looking for other board game players!

How about this Saturday or the next (4/29 or 5/6)? I was thinking 21:00 at their Recoleta location (Ayacucho 1571). Note that reservations and prepayment are required.

    Best places to study/work?

I spent an afternoon at the Biblioteca Nacional de Maestras y Maestros (National Teacher's Library), where they give you a ticket for your laptop to ensure people only bring their own things out. You probably can't take calls there, but it was pretty relaxed. Free wifi, fits your other...

Looking for other board game players!

Thanks to everyone for responding! @Monzi and @booms - I have found one place in Buenos Aires that has board games for use (Conexion Berlin), would one or both of you be interested in going there on a Saturday evening? I'm available this weekend (when Monzi wouldn't be available) and would...

Looking for other board game players!

Does anyone here like playing board games, already have a gathering on a semi-regular basis, or know of such a gathering? I've found one such group on MeetUp, but their timing isn't great for me. Open to any and all board games!
