As I see it, this regime is more comfortable maintaining the status quo and to keep people such as this, in these conditions with their social welfare plans as it would be dangerous for them to actually use the neurons in their brains to think for themselves.
They are the zombie proletariat, drip fed a twisted lie of an ideology, engineered to put bread in their mouths and vote to keep them in power when the time comes.

This type of clientelism is not unusual around the world, but Argentina's one of the countries in which it's most pervasive.
