I found this site which so far has been pretty great. Free 14 day trial but I ended up paying for a month. It's an easy setup and I have noticed no speed issues. Below is my affiliate link to help you get setup, I would definitely recommend trying it out if you miss American TV and can no longer access Netflix with a VPNs.

I wonder if Albanians or Senegalese "expats " have the same needs for home-grown tv programs??

Nigeria and India have big film/tv industries, and i'm sure when they live abroad they like to watch their home-grown stuff. I regularly see the Chinese in my local supermarkets watching chinese soaps and films on phones/tablets.

I'm sure everyone likes to watch stuff from their home, luckily for me a lot of good scottish stuff has been uploaded on youtube and the bbc don't seem to care so much.

And with these dns things i can watch uk tv if i want. Beside Netflix is pish in Argentina (it's one region for the whole of Central and South America), the yank version has the most stuff but the UK one has a whole different range of programs that for me tend to be more interesting.

Try WATCH-TVSeries or Project tv they are both free.

primewire.ag is also free, has pretty much every tv show and movie in the book.

Talking of dns hacks , Has anyone here tried it with a fibretel router? Ours seems to on 192.168.0.1 but it doesnt seem respond when I try and access it via web browser. Not sure if theyve locked it out on purpose.

Most routers from service provider secure the configuration, but it's often possible to access it anyway (the service personal can modify it too) - you might want to google for the specific model/service provider and look if a description how to bypass the "protection"; in other countries, service providers also tell you sometimes how to access it anyway, not sure about how fibertel it handles though.
