Any advice on how to access medical care?

Mostly I'm asking because I have a two year old. I don't want for her to need medical attention before trying to figure out how I would get her medical attention. My wife and I also sometimes need to access medical care. Any advice would be much appriciated.

Morning, have you contacted any private insurers?

I also had a good experience using Hospital Aleman before I was signed up for a private health plan at Swiss Medical. They have an international patients office that you can contact (in English, if you prefer) to organize an appointment. At the time I was visiting them and paying out of pocket the prices were fairly reasonable, at least compared to the US.

Alemán is very good for paediatric stuff in my experience.

Italiano too.

Both have “plans” which is private health insurance which covers you for everything if you have the top level.

They don’t ask for any DNI in my experience you can do it as a foreigner on a passport.

At present I’m paying hospital alemán nearly 500000 for their A6 insurance which is the top level or second from top.
That’s for me the wife and 7 year old child.

Britanico and Favaoloro have been my go to providers.

I have coverage via Sancor, they're awful to deal with, cost is 310K for 2 adults.

If you need medical attention and can't afford private insurance or cash at private clinics/hospitals, you can attend the city's public hospitals and community clinics. Wait times are often up to 8-12 hours from experience before having insurance.

That's interesting. Is Aleman a hospital that offers insurance? Or its a healthcare provider/insurance company?

Are there cheap Urgent Care centers as we have in the USA? They fill that niche for simple issues; sprains, broken bones, colds, infections.... and avoid the circus of trauma that an urban E.R. can be.
