Advice for Our Trip to Tigre

Aloha,

We'd like to make a day trip to Tigre and would love to get advice from those that have been there.

1. Which train is more worthwhile to use: the regular Mitre or the so called luxury Tren de la Costa?
2. Is there a boat that can take us back to BA in the evening?
3. While in Tigre, what are some worthwhile places to visit?
4. Big boat or small boat cruise while we're there?
5. Any outstanding local restaurant(s) to try out?

1) I'd itself the regular tren mitre from Belgrano R,about 45 minutes direct to tigre

2) I'd check out a smaller boat, go along all stands to price,see what they offer...

Boat goes both ways but you see a lot more of the delta on the way up.

If you like antiques / flea markets take the Tren de la Costa. https://www.facebook.com/oficialferiadelanticuario/.
One of the stops is right on the flea market. Open only Saturday and Sunday.
Note: the doors on the tren de la costa open only after you press a button next to the door.

I always take my guests to the restaurant "Gato Blanco". http://www.gato-blanco.com. You can reach the restaurant by the regular taxi boat. It is a river front restaurant where you can watch all sorts of boats passing and enjoy a nice meal.
