Reviewing the contract to rent a house for 2 months in summer, starting 30 Dec.
They are asking I pay the full rental amount when I sign the contract this week.
This seems crazy to me as it is 2 months+ prior to the rental period.
I am going to suggest a deposit now and the rest a few days before taking posession.
They are also asking for 30% deposit plus $9,000 upfront to cover expenses.
I am going to argue that the expenses should be paid for after the bills come in and subtracted from the deposit.
What have been your experiences with short term rental?
