So I don't have the loot to make Rio or Salvador happen, but I'm looking into alternate options. Montevideo and Guayelguayelgeyucheu (sic) come to mind. Anyone with any experience? Worth the trip?

Also, is the BsAs Carnaval celebration worth a damn?
