Richard Wolff is clueless about Argentina's economic history. Before WW1, GDP per capita was about twice that of Italy or Spain. But trade patterns changed after WW1, leaving Argentina in the lurch.

Wow, could he have delivered that incredibly long and thorough analysis without notes? Interesting, though one could argue that "success" as defined by ultraconservative libertarian ideology would mean oligarchic control of the economy and, thus, mass inequality. Who is that guy?? Ahhhhh, Really!? Makes me wonder if it at all represents his views. They sounded extremely conservative, and I just read that he's a Marxian economist.
