Any Tips For Tango Shows?

All the shows are touristy. Skip the "show" and take her to a neighborhood milonga. :)

Great advice. So you can disturb dancers and treat them like you are in a zoo. They are not entertainers, so respect people who takes Tango seriously and pay for entertainers.

This two places al real "milongas", in beautiful, traditional buildings. They have classes everyday for a very low price (something like $30) and you get to share with the real tangueros

Good luck!

Difficult to comment without being an as....le like House.I m going to do my best effort to be as fair as I can.
La Ideal is a place for foreigners who has no idea about the milonga and/or Tango. It reminds me to La Fallete in NYC on Saturdays.
La Catedral might be many things but it is not a Milonga or a Tango place. They play some Tango Music for sure but its low end. If you are looking for food made with marihuana you are in the proper place. Otherwise you are out of place.
If you have no idea about tango, go to La Catedral. At least, you are not going to disturb dancers.
