I have just arrived from Luxembourg and I am quite baffled by the new controls on currency exchange imposed by the AFIP. Whenever I came to visit BA, I used an "informal" exchange house in Palermo offering a better rate than the legal one. Nevertheless, for the past week they say they have no quoting for the value of the Euro and I am in need of exchanging 500 EUR. As I know that at this moment many people need to buy foreign ccy but cannot get hold of it due to the AFIP, could anyone give me tips about where to sell my EUR without paying the high commissions of retail banks?
