I'm moving out of a monoambiente that I've rented in CABA for the past 18 months. I made 14 nail holes in the walls since I moved in. The owner wants to charge me 450,000 to have the holes covered up, and to have the entire apartment repainted. Does that sound right/reasonable? The holes are small. The paint is white. Owner argues that color and texture of paint needs to be consistent after repairing (filling in) holes from nails. What's your experience?

450000 to repaint the entire apartment is cheap.
Thanks, Hotdogs! Do you think it's right I have to pay 100% of costs to repaint entire apartment? Or just a portion? Know anything about laws protecting renters from predatory landlords?

Some agents/landlords require to repaint a wall or entire monoambiente. Some painters won't come out to Recoleta for a single wall job.

If the painter is near the building and has some adequate leftover paint may accept a small job, there is always a minimum ....

Depends what your contract says but it is “usual” that you leave the apartment repainted if it’s a long term rental.

Whether any Argentines actually ever do it or not is another story mainly I’ve heard not.

I had mine repainted because I’m buena gente 😀

We're missing important facts to assist you:

1) Do you have a contract for this unit? What is the language of that contract regarding the condition the unit needs to be returned to?

2) Do you have a security deposit? What amount was it, what currency? Do damages exceed the value of your deposit?
