Hello. Is this true? That you can apply for citizenship just by emailing your documents? Would be great if there’s anyone with any info. Thanks

it is not true. You initially submit by email and once they reply you have to present everything in person.

Ok so it’s true that you start the process by emailing, not that you have to go to the court until they ask you to come?

Yes. It doesn't take long for them to reply though, usually a few weeks.

The guy who told me this has applied himself. Been months and even though he can see his application in the system, hasn’t been asked to go anywhere after like 5 months.

This might be CABA specific/no longer the case, but I started the process in person myself at the office in the Supreme Court, after that, basically everything else was via email for me with the exception of delivering the oficios/ordens to the assorted offices and ministries.

I guess it must depend on where you start the process. We are at Camara Federal de Apelaciones Civil y Comercial and sent a form and everything by email, few days after we had to present originals in person ( just drop them basically ) and only then it was entered into the digital system where we can follow it.

I started everything with an email to the court that included an attachment of all my documentation - [email protected]
B
ut I had to have a relative bring copies of the exact same thing that I emailed to the court within 5 days of the original email.
Makes me want to scratch my head why they can't just print out or download what you emailed them.
I have absolutely no idea what to expect now -- I know at some point I'll have to go in person with the original documentation. But it's only been 2 weeks so I just have to be patient!

You had to bring in the originals? They told me to bring a copy of it all ... I wonder if I messed up?
