Applying for citizenship via email

Anna, I have been assigned to Court # 5.

I brought both originals and copies of all required documents to the Ministerio de Justicia at Libertad 731. The receptionist was a good guy who picked through my documents; keeping the original Certificado Domicilio and then copies of everything else. He stapled them, stamped the back, signed the stamp and I received the Caratula a few days later.
One son has court # 5 also :)

All Courts have different procedures. Courts 1, 5 and 7 do not want hard copies. Courts 2 and 7 request to show originales before oficios. Courts 11, 3 and 10 requests to show them just before passing sentence.
I just got a response (only 8 days!) and was assigned JUZGADO Nº 4, SECRETARIA Nº 7. I haven't filed the paperwork yet. Bajo_cero2: Is this a good judge or do I need to do something to change it?

Dr. Rubilar, what is the problem with Dr. Maraniello?
Court #5 is widely known to be the worst citizenship court currently, with the process dragging from 2-3 years, or even more at the moment to reach resolution. Other courts you can expect on average a bit over a year, though there are some courts in CABA that are lightning fast and issue a sentence in months.

Not the worse. I do not object him.

Thanks MarshallE.

That is not encouraging. I'll consider the options. Perhaps permanent residency is the better option.

Thanks to Nikad and all others that have contributed to this thread. Here is a summary of the steps that are necessary to apply for citizenship, as far as I understand them. Please let me know what I am missing or what I have wrong

Step 1; Go to Talcahuano 550, Planta Baja, Oficina 2083 and get a copy of an instruction sheet and one that must be filled out in handwriting (el formulario), with your personal information.

Step 2: Send all necessary docs via email with two attachments in pdf format to the following address: [email protected]

1er. ARCHIVO (tendrá el formulario).

2do. ARCHIVO (tendrá: DNI o pasaporte- Certificado de domicilio de la Policía vigencia cinco días- y por último su partida de nacimiento con APOSTILLA DE LA HAYA.

Step 3: Once your email is received, it can take them anywhere from 5 or more days for them to reply to you. In the reply, they will ask you to hand deliver all the documents you sent in Step 2. They give you 5 days after their response to hand-deliver the documents you emailed to them. You need to take the physical documents for citizenship (just drop them off physically) to the Mesa Receptora de Escritos ubicada en Libertad 731 PB CABA, dentro del plazo de 5 días hábiles. Horario de 7.30 a 13.00 hs.

Step 4: Once you have dropped off your docs to Libertad 731, they are entered into their computer and a case number is assigned to you. This will allow you to follow your case progress online.

Step 5: At some point they will ask you to present proof of income.

Step 6? Once your physical documents for citizenship are accepted at the Ministerio de Justicia at Libertad 731, you will receive a notification from the court within 20 days. Question: Is this coming email notification the approval or denial decision from the judge? Or, is it simply notification that your solicitation has been accepted for review by the court, and that you will receive a future notification regarding a date and time to have an interview with the judge whose name is on the Caratula?

Hire a lawyer, at the first paper recusal him sin expresión de causa, get a new judge automatically.
Is there a time limit to file a refusal? I've already submitted copies of my paperwork. I will ask my uncle, a lawyer, to help. In the US, judges don't separate siblings' cases (at least in family court).. They should have been with one judge anyways.
