Hello expats,
Is there any info or advice out there on job opportunities in the Argentinian TV/Film industry?
I'm an Australian with a degree, a post grad diploma and 1-2 years experience as an assistant editor. In a few months I'm planning to go to BA, initially on a Work and Holiday visa, and teach English while improving my Spanish and looking for a job in post production (or any related area).
As I have no contacts it's hard to gauge whether this is a workable plan or completely unrealistic. Has Argentina's economic malaise made it too unlikely for production companies to hire a foreigner, or has its reputable film scene and IT/startup boom carried the industry through?
Any opinions, thoughts, pointers, referrals or info welcome.
