Are University hospitals better? Birthing in BA, Cordoba, Salta?

I don´t have experience in this, but I know that some doctors in expensive clinics want to make a lot of procedures on you because you (or your insurance) are paying. I heard that Hospital Italiano is the best in the country for newborns, but don´t take my word on it.

Personally I would stay in BA to have a baby - more hospitals, very big airport, in case of complications you're close to the best technology. I'm sure there's very good hospitals in provincia and summer spots, but vacationing would be the very last of my concerns.

In BA I've heard good things about the Sanitario de la Trinidad - it seems to be a pretty good hospital and has a modern maternity section. If you know Spanish, this forum might help you pick out a doctor and hospital (which might be determined by your insurance.)
