Argentina’s Far-Right Turn at the UN

Argentina also shocked the UN General Assembly Hall on Nov. 15 when it was the sole country to vote against a resolution intensifying steps to prevent and end violence against women and girls online.
What the actual hell?!?!

This kind of nonsense of making issues out of non-issues will be what ends LLAA winning streak, sooner than later.

Explaining that the "no" vote is somehow an elaborate protest against the UN/ "supranational government" takes too much brain work/ reading to understand for the majority of people ... "vote no = misogynist" is far easier for most to understand and will be what sticks.

Once their voter's personal economic necessities have "stabilised", relatively speaking, many of these individuals will get complacent with the need for macroeconomic change and start voting based on ideals and morals that they feel best represented by... and fortunately the vast majority of Argentines don't think anything like any of the countries that "merely" abstained on this vote.

Even parties like Pro know this and will use these kinds of headlines as domestic campaign food, planting a distorted idea that he wants to impose Iran-esque or Russia-esque ideals of "intolerance" and "oppression" on Argentine society, especially once the "dirty work" on the economic front has been done. LLAA needs to choose it's battles wisely if it wants to stay in the game for the long run.
