This article lays out the pros and cons of AI use in a corporate setting really well and opens up for broader discussion. For the employees now tasked with more work due to AI erasing the barrier to entry for many tasks...let's hope their pay increases to account for that increased workload.

On a similar note, I recall listening to a researcher many moons ago talk about that when the Automatic Dishwasher was invented it was initially thought the time savings would be an enormous help in enhancing quality family time. However, this researcher found among households who owned one that quality family time actually decreased. You see, manually washing dishes required the parent to be stationary and given the low intensity repetitive nature of the task, it often served as a moment to talk with the children about school or other family issues.
