The launch of Argentina's first national rocket, which will place Argentina among the world's top 10 space powers, is underway. All from Necochea.

The Malacara Spaceport, located at the mouth of the Malacara River between Lobería and General Alvarado, was not chosen at random. Its privileged geographic location allows launches to the south and east with minimal risk to populated areas, taking advantage of the natural curvature of the Buenos Aires coast. A strategic genius that makes this corner of Argentina a key point for missions requiring diverse orbital trajectories.

Who's behind this revolution? Visionaries Pablo Vic and Gerardo Natale founded TLON Space in 2005, when few were betting on Argentine space development. Today, with the support of the National Commission for Space Activities (CONAE) and strategic alliances with companies like Innova Space, they are on the verge of making history. The ambition of this project breaks all the molds: the company plans to carry out six commercial launches per year and has the capacity to produce 200 vehicles annually. A true aerospace industrial hub born on Argentine soil that will democratize access to space with more affordable services for the thriving small satellite industry.

Want to witness history? If you're interested in visiting the Malacara Spaceport , take Provincial Route 86 from Necochea toward Lobería and follow the marked rural roads south. We recommend a vehicle suitable for rough terrain and checking with local authorities beforehand about access hours.

This is great, but…
The article doesn’t say anything about dates?! The spaceport doesn’t have its web page? The space company TLON which has developed the rocket doesn’t have this in its news. And probably more important - about a year ago they were in talks with Uruguay government to build a spaceport there in Rocha instead, because they can protect their investment and import components without problems.

So far this looks like no-news. Is this AI playing up?
