Exactly. Get out of Lanús. Here's how they're living in the "countries" in Tigre / Zona Norte.
Not every place in Argentina is a hell hole. There are places where the trash pick-ups work, parks are well maintained, crime is kept to a minimum, etc.

It is more expensive to have a "US middle class" lifestyle here than in other countries, but it can be done.

Osprey's story reminds me of this short documentary, really worth watching. I think I might prefer the hillsides of Central America to Lanus, but still, heartbreaking. At least, as Ceviche points out, Osprey and her husband are still together!
