The fact that people willingly support the informal economy both as employees and customers suggest that they aren't willing to pay higher prices for goods which is what you are suggesting with protectionist policies.
The people practice this daily and voted for it in the last 2 elections.
Errr... what!? Willingly? Employees are forced into the informal economy (trabajo en negro) by employers who can get away with off-the-books no-tax no-explanations "employment". No control by ARCA / AFIP. This would have been one of the very first targets of any sane government, to widen the tax basis and ensure a level playing field for all employers. It must be obvious that we don't have a sane government
For employees, the flip side of the informal economy is no rights, no security of employment, no safety net in the case of unemployment. It's been 2 long years already, FFS, more than enough time to reform the tax system. But nothing could be further from the minds of this work-shy, corrupt, lying sect.
Consumers will hold their noses at the stench of corruption and go for lower prices whatever the consequences. With 2-3% inflation per month, one of the worst of any recent government, who can blame them?
For the last election, our nutcase president and his corrupt government were bailed out by 20-40 billion USD from Daddy Warbucks up north. If the financial support hadn't arrived, Milei would have been toast. Election interference by a foreign country at its finest. I don't know that you have skin in the game, but if you do, our grandchildren will be paying for Milei's delusions.
WTF are you talking about? Is this what happens when you don't use ChatGPT?
