Double morals anyone?

And General Roca forced the Argentine government on the people of Patagonia back in 1870-ish. Double standards anyone?

Which is it?

Do you want Patagonia or the Falklands?

By your thought process, it's EITHER/OR, not "AND".

If you want both, you'll need to use a different argument.

Please provide us with a list of the names of those "free citizens of the Argentine Republic".

You can quote from this official Argentine document from Pinedo's trial:

"Lista de la tropa, sus familias y peones de la isla de Malvinas" (1833): http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5053/5533028871_5a2bfae23c_b.jpg

Soldiers + 2 civilians from Uruguay + 2 from Brasil + 0 (zero) civilians from La provincia de Buenos Ayres left.

The rest of the civilians (22) stayed voluntarily on the Falkland Islands under British rule.

It should read 'commemorating the 1982 liberation of the Malvinas'.
Otherwise...why not? I don't see a reason for criticising it.
Of course not.

Now we can expect to see your blessing of a German coin celebrating the liberation of Poland in 1939, a Russian coin celebrating the liberation of Hungary in 1956 and of Czekoslovakia in 1968, coins commemorating famous suicide bombers, ...

(Warning: sarcasm may be found in the above text)

If we take your argument to its logical conclusion Argentina must revert to the indigenous people -- or at least Spain.

You guys are so brave criticizing Argentina's policy on Las Malvinas on this forum, but funny I never hear you Pommies or your Commonwealth Running Dogs ever defend the UK policy in parties in the Capital. Talk about Octopussies!

Maybe we're all just too well mannered. It's not polite to discuss politics or religion at a dinner party. And calling your host a jingoistic retard is considered to be a major social faux pas.
