Argentina Unveils Malvinas 2-Peso Coin

Somehow I don't think the Falkland Islanders considered joining (at gunpoint) a military dictatorship to be a form of liberation.

Strange comment coming from someone coming from a country whose government has an extense record at backing dictatorships of all sorts.

You mean the US? Did I say that I supported US foreign policy? What I said was that Argentina tried to force their dictatorship on people who wanted to be left alone. It was no liberation. If the Falkland Islanders want to be Argentine, they can do it. They don't want to and I think they should make up their own minds. It has zero do do with the US.

And the UK forced their monarchy on free citizens of the Argentine Republic back in 1833. And then kicked them out of their islands.
Double morals anyone?

I think you'll find they sent the invading army back and allowed anyone who wasn't in an invading military garrison to stay.
