Argentina's Capital moving to Santiago del Estero ...???
Great idea !!!... More corruption opportunities, a local government that's a pushover and less demonstrating troublemakers to deal with !!!
It's a win, win, win situation.

This was in the news here a couple of weeks ago, but seems to have quickly gone away. I doubt Santiagueños want their city/province tainted by a bunch of porteños moving in.

Why not to SANTIAGO, Chile? It could not be any worse of what we have now!!!

Sure it's happening. Right about the same time as the bullet train to Rosario and the construction of South America's tallest building on the isla demarchi.

And who can forget the train to Uruguay !!! I've had my bags pack since then.
In all fairness, ...It did make one trip.

I actually found a person who is favorable to moving the capital. He says the country is too unbalanced, everything is in or around BsAs and the rest of the country has nothing. For the same reason that Netherlands capital is L'Aja and not Amsterdam, or that even in Spain and France the capital is not on the sea (where it would naturally be).

I have no opinion on this, I don't know South America enough.

Capitol of Netherlands is Amsterdam. Parliament located in De Hauge.

Need to move the commercial port out of Buenos Aires before they move the capital anywhere. Leave the current set up for cruise ships and buquebus and send the port down to Bahia Blanca or closer.
