Automobile Insurance

Anybody have any suggestions on where to get insurance for a car purchased down here. I only have a US driver's license. Thoughts?

My husband was able to use his international license for 90 days, roughly...after that the insurance company would not insure him without an Argentine drivers license.

Not sure if that is a standard policy or not....
