Back Again: First Impressions

It never fails that every flight I'm on to Argentina ends with many of the Argentine passengers standing up while the plane is still taxiing to the gate at EZE. They usually ignore the commands of the crew to remain seated and start taking their luggage out of the racks. They act seem to think they are going to get off the plane sooner than other passengers if they do this.

I smile when they are yelled at and are forced to sit back down.

ha ha. well said. I could not figure that out. They seem in a major hurry.. And they love to have my allocated aeroplane seat in every flight. Almost every flight, some Argie wants me to change my seat with theirs!

This happened to me on a flight from Europe to BsAs. Some guy came up to me and began his speech. I was about to tell him no when I heard the magic words. He had a seat in business class, but really wanted to sit by his wife in economy. THAT is true love. Needless to say, I was happy to help bring them together.

You are too nice ! If would be me, I politely decline!

Not only when waiting to get off the plane - sitting in the lounge waiting to get ON the airplane (here or in Miami where I usually leave the US) as soon as the attendants start talking about the plane being ready to board, everyone stands up and crowds around the gate, even when the attendants are just starting to call for disabled folk, folk with children, etc. They will stand there and block the entrance waiting for their row to be called even if they're in the front of the economy section...

Oooohhh get you with yer fancy economy plus.

Anyway, have a good month back in the jungle. Hopefully you miss the seasonal saqueos by a week or two!

the height of heights was on AA flight

I had paid 124 us$ or something for a preferred seat in the economy section. And at the boarding gate, just before boarding ( at Miami airport), my name was announced and guess what? The stupid AA ground staff woman had the audacity to put me in some middle seat and give my bought preferred seat to argie who wanted to sit next to his family. I said, I am not taking that boarding pass and I would sit on my old boarding pass. She said, you can not do this. I said then I am not boarding the plane and I will go and see a lawyer tomorrow morning before leaving for BA on another carrier.

Anyway, i boarded the flight and went and sat on my preferred seat for which I had paid for. That Argie man and his Argie family gave me really dirty look for the whole flight. Of course for the first 2 hours, they came 5-6 times to me to ask me change my seat . I said "Nothing doing"! But i felt really pressurized!
