For many people who do not know the scope of Argentine music I suggest that you learn about Astor Piazzola. He to me captures the soul of Buenos Aires and Argentina . Below is his classic track Oblivion written when he was in exile from the South.

I agree with you Pericles. I am going to get my list of ARG tracks and link then here today for you.

There cannot be very many people called Pericles in Buenos Aires - did we meet at a party last year on a roof in Recoleta? I was with my wife and we were staying in one of BAStay's apartments in the same building as their office?

Astor Piazzola for me is a genius and a national treasure now after being derided by his fellow countrymen for his new tango .
His beautiful song Milonga Del Angel is one of the last centurys best piece of music.
