What are the best options to get from Buenos Aires to Cordoba? "Best options" = cheapest way there and back.

Cheapest is surely the bus, there are different prices for the bus. Cama , semi-cama etc. I guess it will be around a 10 hour trip on the bus. Can't think of a cheaper way than that. You can buy online with Flecha Bus and they are usually pretty modern. Flying is going to pricier, the train ...there is no train and hiring a car would be more expensive as far as I am aware, possibly not if you are sharing the costs with more than 2 or 3 other people but you would need to factor in an extra 400 to 500 pesos worth of gas and usually you'll have to front up a pretty hefty deposit.

Hope that helps.

There actually is a train to Cordoba, check out this previous post with a detailed description. http://baexpats.org/topic/20344-train-to-cordoba/page__hl__%2Btrain+%2Bcordoba

I think its very cheap, if that's how you define best option.

I've traveled with Betel bus company to BA, which is cama with wine, warm beef dinner and real silverware. It's also a religious bus company, so they do a group prayer as they leave the terminal. The dinner makes up for it though.

Ha !....I stand corrected. I have just never met anyone who would consider taking the train long distance here, rightly or wrongly.

You live and learn.
