Best Place In Argentina For Self Preservation

Factually incorrect. Lucian of Samosata (Greek) wrote of Christ, the Babalonian Talmud references Christ, Tacitus (Roman historian) wrote of Christ, Pliny the Younger (Roman governor) wrote of Christ, Josephus (Jewish historian) wrote of Christ. I'm probably forgetting some ...

Unless you were hoping for a video as proof.

None of those are contemporaneous. Her point remains valid.

Any chance we can get back on topic? Its turning into a religious history debate and not where is the best place to survive the impending global environmental meltdown.
Yes please, best source of that kind of info I could find in th US is Strategic Relocation by Joel Skousen (pdf avail). Any personal recommendations of secured locations in Arg?

Trust me when I`m laying in my hammock, watching my vegtables , livestock (& family) grow in my small hamlet in patagonia (surrounded by mines of course) i wont have a worry in the world.
As apposed to 300+ million North Americans running around with 300+ million guns looking for food and water in muscle cars fitted with gatling guns and wheel spikes.

There are good reasons that more of the earth's population lives above the equator. One is that most of the land mass is north. The other is the abundance of fresh water and land suitable for growing food. I don't think that climate heating will be a direct factor on food in our lifetime, but add a couple of degrees of heat and Argentina becomes a desert.

Much of the solution is determined by how "civilization" ends. If it is by nuclear war then you want to be south, as most - if not all - of the impacts will be north as well as the fall-out following the upper atmospheric currents. If it is by less destructive measures, example EMP, then I think you'll want to be north where the food and water is.

Your comments about idiots with guns is correct. You really need to have a plan to get way, way, way off of the grid.

I'd be joining the queue for Patagonia.
Having said that, global cooling isn't such a remote possibility.

Well, yes, global cooling is a given - when our sun finally dies. But for any human being alive today, global warming is a fact, and only the details of disruption and disaster remain to be seen.

Think i`m heading for this place :p . Abundance of water, at altitude, lots of vegetation and wildlife and a pot of gold in the main foyer.

If "global warming" is a "fact" there must also be facts to support it. What are they and what is their source?

Two weeks after this post the EPA announced the "next wave" of CO2 regulations.

This article makes a number of points that you won't hear about on NBC, CBS, ABC, or CNN:

http://wattsupwithth...o2-regulations/

Human beings will likely become extinct billions of years before "our sun" finally dies.

Meanwhile, thanks to the new regulations and according to the article, "Millions of Americans will endure a lower quality of life and be unable to heat or cool their homes properly, pay their rent or mortgage, or save for college and retirement. They will suffer from greater stress, worse sleep deprivation, higher incidences of depression and alcohol, drug, spousal and child abuse, and more heart attacks and strokes. As Senator Joe Manchin points out, “A lot of people on the lower end of the socio-economic spectrum are going to die.”

Perhaps Argentina (as a country) will be a good place to avoid the disruption and disaster of changes made in the efforts to reduce CO2 emissions in the USA.

Perhaps Argentina (as a country) will be a good place to avoid the disruption and disaster of changes made in the efforts to reduce CO2 emissions in the USA.

People in Manchin's home state are already suffering because of black lung and its corollaries, which they'd like to continue exporting in the interest of "greater stress, worse sleep deprivation, higher incidences of depression and alcohol, drug, spousal and child abuse, and more heart attacks and strokes." To escape the coming climatic catastrophe, your own best option would appear to be emulating or even surpassing your muse's nicotine consumption. Denial is contagious, after all.

Argentina, though, lacks the coal resources to contaminate the rest of the world. It merely sacrifices the residents of Río Turbio.

If you live in a fortified compound outside Bahía Blanca and devote yourself to fantasy novels, that's what you aspire to.
