Well, yes, global cooling is a given - when our sun finally dies. But for any human being alive today, global warming is a fact, and only the details of disruption and disaster remain to be seen.

Perhaps at some point you will stop dodging the question and, instead of suggesting I consume nicotine (so I will contract lung disease?) or continuing to make irrelevant comments about a novelist who's name you no longer mention, you will actually back up your claim that global warming is a fact. The fact that coal miners are subject to black lung disease doesn't mean that burning coal causes global warming (which is not happening on a "global" scale). USCRN data shows that "US temperatures are a full 0.4 degrees Celsius colder than they were in 2005...and objective temperature data show there has been no global warming since sometime last century."

PS: "The USCRN data are entirely consistent with – and indeed lend additional evidentiary support for – the global warming stagnation of the past 17-plus years."

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s most accurate, up-to-date temperature data confirm the United States has been cooling for at least the past decade. The NOAA temperature data are driving a stake through the heart of alarmists claiming accelerating global warming.

Fortunately, there has been a great deal of global warming since the last ice age, you know, the one during which what is now New York City was buried under a mile of ice.

Clearly, data and evidence are not popular among Pottertarians and other fantasists, but they will pick and choose the occasional isolated anomaly, but the scientific consensus is overwhelming. Consider, for instance, http://tinyurl.com/o3uryo5

A relevant quotation: "With records dating back to 1880, the combined average temperature over global land and ocean surfaces reached a record high for May, at 0.74°C (1.33°F) higher than the 20[sup]th[/sup] century average. This surpassed the previous record high anomaly of 0.72°C (1.30°F) set in 2010. Four of the five warmest Mays on record have occurred in the past five years: 2010 (second warmest), 2012 (third warmest), 2013 (fifth warmest), and 2014 (warmest); currently, 1998 has the fourth warmest May on record. Additionally, May 2014 marked the 39[sup]th[/sup] consecutive May and 351[sup]st[/sup] consecutive month (more than 29 years) with a global temperature above the 20[sup]th[/sup] century average. The last below-average global temperature for May occurred in 1976 and the last below-average temperature for any month occurred in February 1985."

@gpop There is no historical evidence to support that the "Hebrews" were in Egypt, nor that "Jesus Christ" actually existed, and these are odd events to put on a climate chart made by a scientist which is a shame, because the actual curve is quite interesting and correct from my knowledge, though it does not prove that humans are not influencing climate change.

(yes, lots of historians accept that Jesus Christ existed, but this is not the same as proof from direct source).

What in the world are you talking about? Some Bibical and historical scholars might actually accept your first statement, but your second that Jesus of Nazareth did not exist??? That there is no evidence, where in the world did you get that idea??? You are seriously misinformed. What sort of direct source do you need? A video perhaps? A time machine?

Lots of people believe in fairy tales, but that doesn't make them true.

The Rabbi Joshua son of Jahweh Adonay exists.

This has little to do with the original post, and certainly nothing to do with what it has evolved to, but as long as we're planning for improbable scenarios...

I've always thought Buenos Aires, with all its buildings and high gates, barbed wire, and fenced in areas would be great in case of a zombie apocalypse. A population of 13 million would of course be the downside.
