Best Rated Cell Phone Service Provider.

Been with Personal Black for two years. No problems to speak of and I can make free long distance calls to US (they just charge me the minutes against my plan) so far never paid anything extra. The only thing is tat the phone didn't work when I went to Uruguay! Just had a message "no service available". Don't understand that one because I think it should work there too, but don't go often enough to make an issue out of it. My I phone also didn't get phone service when I travelled to the US but that might've been a hardware thing as I bought the phone here from Personal. Just as well that I didn't run up huge bills accidentally roaming! But Skype and evrything worked fine over WIFI.

Probably frequencies, Uruguay uses different frequencies from Argentina and if you phone isn't quad band you wont get reception.

In Brasil , Anatel , basically the FCC there , prohibited one of the carriers from selling any new phones or plans until they invested in their service after many , many complaints. Imagine that happening here in Argentina.

You can only have activated international calling or international roming at one time, not both. So if you're traveling you just need to call *25225 and let them know and then when you get back call again to have them turn international calling back on.

Claro has a plan for 130 pesos with unlimited data, just not many minutes and sms, anyone got that plan?
