HSBC Premier benefits are available without a monthly account fee if you meet any of the following criteria:
- You have either joint savings or investments of at least £50,000 with HSBC in the UK. We request that your main income is paid into your HSBC Premier Bank Account
- You have an annual income of at least £100,000 paid into your HSBC Premier Bank Account and either
1. a mortgage(s) of at least £300,000 with HSBC in the UK
2. a product taken out through our independent financial advisory service, excluding mortgage-related insurance - You qualify for HSBC Premier in another country
So if you don't have the fifty grand, you could consider whether a 25 quid monthly charge is worth it to you. Remember the Premier package comes with free world-wide travel insurance - though you will have to phone them if you are going to be away for more than (I think) 30 days.
