That reminds me I have a friend I can put you in contact, who at a time worked as a travel guide for tours between northern bolivia and southeastern peru, all pure amazon forest. I suppose you might want to research the town of Trinidad, you get there from Santa Cruz de la Sierra. Iquitos in Peru is a must though and it's more easily accesible from Lima.
