Blue peso at parity?

From what I understand, the blue rate is a speculation based on the perceived shortage of dollars in financial markets.
Actually, it's the other way around. The blue rate reflects the true market value of the dollar, determined by supply and demand. The official rate is an artificial value imposed by the government, used to exploit the difference between the official rate and the blue rate to their advantage.

It's both. One and the same thing.

It´s important to define the supply and demand sides with regard to the blue dollar. In the current situation there is no such thing as ´the´ supply and demand for the dollar in Argentina.

There is no THE supply and demand, or that there is neither supply nor demand, or there is one thing, but not the other?

When you go to an exchange place, do you have a clear idea of what it is that you want?

IMO, only a floating currency is true market value. Cuevas constantly front run Blue, sometimes offering less if they anticipate a drop, proving it is speculation. No different than stocks or bonds really. Some fundamentals, but mostly they buy the news, sell the rumor. I would argue, MEP is as close to a real value as we can assume, CEPO not withstanding.
