I wonder why the US hasn t started to provide small arms to the Venezuelan people. It is obvious that the govmt there maintains his feeble power by the force of arms. Any vestige of political solution has been erased from the map. Now it is all brute force, simple and clear. It is also the first time, as far as I know, that a south american goverment allowed mercenay troops in its soil (read Cubans and Russians).
Under international law, they could be shot on the spot if captured, like Franco did it in Spain to any member of the famous International Brigades
during the Spanish Civil (1936-1939).

Macri has hired Bope, the Brasilian police, known for it´s violence.
Did you not see what G20 protesters did in Hamburg? They destroyed part of the city. Did you not see what protesters here did to the Plaza del congreso when the Congress was voting controversial legislation? They desyroyed the Plaza. What was Macri suppose to do, wait and let that happen in BA during the G20? Because that show of force was displayed, there weren't major incidents.During G20, my neighbourhood; San Telmo, Microcentro, Congresso and Theatre Colon were closed for three days. On Avenida de Julio there were tanks. 22 000 police men were on the streets. Internet was shut down. People had been asked to go to the countryside. There were no buses, nor subte. Shops were closed. Streets were empty, except for the police on every corner.
I thought I was in Venezuela.
Macri has hired Bope, the Brasilian police, known for it´s violence. I have read, they killed street kids before OL in Brasil, to make it look nice. There are posters many places, about Macri hiring more police. There are violence at demonstrations.
I never saw things like this under Christina. As I live with Venezuelan refugees, I definately question her support to Maduro. But I felt there were less violence in her time.
Same here.He was referring to the possibility of Cristina winning the next presidential election.
I do not agree with him often, but on this particular matter, I do.

His remarks are very much on point in this case. 2 Venezuela's would put a very hard drag on the entire continent of South America.
