Budget Accomodation At Mendoza Vineyard

So my guests plan to travel to Mendoza and really want to stay at a vineyard however they have checked and the prices seem to be sky high, something like USD $200 a night. Does anyone have any knowledge of cheaper accomodation at or very near a vineyard? They couldn't find anything on airbnb but there may be people renting rooms privately that are off radar.

Sadly these days you will struggle to find budget accomodation around the vineyards. We stayed at a hostal in the city of Mendoza called "sosa haus" which had good value studios and travelled out each day, not ideal though. Cabanas (log cabins) are generally a good value option, a quick search for Cabanas Mendoza threw up this one which looks well located: http://www.cabanaslunlunta.com.ar

Dont miss Bodega La Azul; a family affair tucked away amongst the big boys on the main wine route near Salentein, we had a great lunch there last December.

There is also a great craft market in the basement of the tourist office in the city centre; really authentic and returns a sensible amount to the craftsmen & women.
