Buenos Aires VS Santiago Chile as Expat destination

I would be currious about any thoughs on Buenos Aires VS Santiago Chile as an Expat destination.
I lived in Santiago for 4 months 5 years ago. It liked it. It was kinda expensive and boring, and actually strangely too small townish, in a way.
Any comments?

I know what I'm going to say isn't about Santiago, but if you found Santiago boring you will be desperate in Uruguay.
