I think most of the best ones are covered. I would add Dean & Denny's and Burger 54 in Martinez. Also seems like another american burger chain is opening up here soon - Wayback Burgers, https://www.facebook...rgersArgentina. I've never tried it in the States though, so no idea how it is...

I just ate at Mi Barrio a 2 days ago, it was great, and good papas fritas, too. They make all kinds of fancy Barrio-nesas, too.
Burger Joint is really good too.
And La Cresta - well, anything they make is delicious.
All three are argentine adaptations- that is, making the best of available local ingredients, rather than trying to recreate america without the possibility of success, due to differences in what you can buy.

I am going to work my way down the rest of the list, soon.

Why is Burger Joint really good? I tried it based on expats' raving about it, but it was mediocre at best.

The Big Apple on Viamonte was covered? Closed?

BIG APPLE IS CURRENTLY CLOSED AT ITS PRESENT LOCATION. PLEASE CHECK HERE FOR UPDATES AS TO OUR NEW LOCATION. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT AND GREAT, FUN TIMES!

to quote the great Gene McDaniels- "compared to what?"

A great burger is a very subjective thing.

Some people like Mcdonalds, others cannot stand them.
To understand a person's burger declarations,we must know what you consider to be a good burger.

Me, I am from Seattle- that means I grew up on 19 cent burgers from Dicks Drive-In, and I still will hit a Deluxe whenever possible- but that is a cheap burger.
At the other end of the spectrum, I have enjoyed grass fed organic beef burgers with fresh baked breadfarm bread, at the Old Edison Inn, and they are hard to beat- at about $13 US right now.

I found Burger Joint to be pretty good burgers, on my scale at least a 7 out of 10- and my personal comparisons in Buenos Aires would include the above mentioned Mi Barrio and La Cresta, along with a half dozen other, lesser hipster burgers.

I think buns here are always a weak point- always to much like sandwich bread, and too sweet.
Cheese, obviously, is not going to rival US cheddars.
Pickles here are generally beneath mentioning.

But, if you didnt like Burger Joint, where do you like?

Mi Barrio Hamburguesas on Arenales 2609 is worth a try...!! The 800 grs Burger...
