Burgers In Argentina

I recently tried out a new burger place called The Burger Company in Palermo. It's on Honduras near Scalabrini-Ortiz, a few blocks from the tried & true Burger Joint. I ordered a "Bacon Blue Burger" without bacon, and they gave me a vibrating pager to let me know when my order was ready (how fancy). While I waited, I checked out the restaurant physically. It's pretty much the opposite of Burger Joint. It's very spacious, well-built, with two levels, kind of corporate feeling (multiple LCD TVs playing a "Burger Company" animation). It's like they took Burger Joint and made it corporate.

The burger itself was good, I'd say comparable to Burger Joint. I forgot how much I paid, but I think it was more than at Burger Joint, and I didn't order any sides. I think I still prefer Burger Joint, but if you don't want to fight for a place to sit down, you may give this place a try.

You mentioned Burger Joint six times in your post mate.
Does that mean something?

Yeah I consider it kind the reference for burger places around Palermo. I ate at Burger Company again today, and noticed the patties are a bit smaller than Burger joint (but they're still a decent size). The price was $110 for a Bacon Blue Cheese burger and a drink. My friend got a low-carb burger, which didn't have a bun, it had lettuce wrapped around it instead.

The other good burger place I know of is Tierra de Nadie in Caballito, but it's not as convenient for me - https://www.yelp.com...ie-buenos-aires

La Cresta makes great burgers. Their Chili Chutney is the bomb.
In San Telmo and Villa Crespo.

Burgers and Franks (Hot Dogs) many times go together at a U.S. cook out.
The other day I passed a new place downtown (Montevideo & Viamonte) called New York Hot Dogs
The signs in the window described 5 hot dogs for Manhattan,Brooklyn, the Bronx ,Queens and Staten Island
As a New Yorker it caught my eye .A frank is a frank but what seemed appealing were the different toppings for each one.
I plan to rry it out next week Maybe I'll pass the info on,if there's any interest.

Hi from 4th St. in the West Village ,NYC about 5 blocks from the Minetta Tavern and another 5 from the Corner Bistro at 4th and Jane St. Thanks to LINE54 for mentioning the latter. My family and I go there often. The burgers are not quite as big as Minetta's but equally famous in NY at only $8.00. Minetta's is usually so crowded with local trend setters and tourists that you can't get in.I just had a smoked sausage with 4 different relishes (un chorizo al plato) and an iced tea for U$D 10.64 about AR$ 165 at Mighty Quinn's Barbecue on the corner of Greenwich Ave. and 11 St. in the same neighborhood and very accessibly priced.Kind of an upscale self-service placeThe next time you're in NYC,please check it out.I'll be back in B.A .on Sept.28.
We ate at Quinn's and very good BBQ for very reasonable price.
