Buy Phone In Ba Or Ship From The U.s.?

Listen to the wise advise of the forum, unless you're willing to learn first hand that anything sent by mail or courier will (as things stand today) get trapped in customs and most likely stay there. If you're lucky, and willing (again) to go back and forth to Ezeiza, pay a "despachante's" fees, storage fees, import taxes, etc. you might be able to retrieve it at a much higher cost than buying a new state of the art unlocked phone in the US (or wherever you're right now) and bringing it with you.
Just browse the threads, you'll read about atm cards, t-shirts, bijouterie, etc. withheld and eventually abandoned by their rightful owners as it's cheaper to lose them than to retrieve them.

Definitely don't ship to here as you'll pay the same price as the phone to get it out of customs. I second the moto G, but get an unlocked one on amazon for 180 dollars (the global one, not the US one). Also the Galaxy S3 minis are good, and on amazon for less than 230 dollars - just make sure you get the 850 / 1900 3G version to work here.
