Hey All,

My argentine GF and I are looking at buying a car and wanted to get some advice as I'm yet to get my DNI. My VISA (revista) is in process and I have CUIT/CUIL, bank account but until it's all sorted I won't have my DNI. Couple of questions regarding this:

- Is it possible to have the car registered in my name without a DNI,
- If we register it in just my GFs name and later add me, do we have to pay the transfer fees again or is it a much cheaper process
- What would be the process of adding me to the ownership.

Additional info:
- We'll be buying in cash, so no finance required
- I'm not worried about the VISA being rejected as I have back up options

Thanks!
Phil

As long as you've got CUIT/CUIL, you can buy a car and register it. You'll need to go with the seller down to the DMV, but it's not a terrible process.

Good to know, thank you. From my research, the CUIT/CUIL supersedes the CDI mentioned previously, so was thinking this. Sounds also like it's all available online now through RUNA. We're buying a 0km, so should hopefully make it a little more simple as there's no 2nd party.
