Need some advise on buying cars in Argentina. New or used cars ? If new cars what make and if used cars, places to buy.

Why do you want to buy a car? One of the great things about living in BA is that you don´t need to own a car. Buses, metro, taxis and BICYCLES. Need a car? Rent a car.

But I agree, with the last post...just use public trans. If you do go the car route, expect to pay double what you would pay in the States for a POS. I was looking at cars a while back but just had an issue paying 10k for a little POS yugo. Now my only problem is finding enough monedas for the bus

Umm... maybe the guy isn't living in Capital? Or maybe he is but his work is in provincia? We have a car -- we live in Las Canitas but without the car my husband would be looking at an hour or so on the bus each way to his work in San Fernando.

Wanting to buy a car is not always a silly thing to do in Capital.
