Hi, Does anyone know if my Argie Movistar cell phone/sim card will work in Montevideo? Thanks, Frank
 
I think you need to activate foreign calls before you go, but even if you don't, you can send text messages (if you have enough credit) and receive calls.

at least that's what I can do when abroud.
 
Great, thanks for the help. Can always buy a new sim card if necessary...

An advice on what to see while there?
