Coffee and cake prices

4000 per item does this include underwear and socks? Seems outrageous but nothing surprises me anymore !
Seriously, 4,000 per piece? Did the shop assistant mark you as a naive rich foreigner? Can that be a real price? 4,000 pesos for a handkerchief?
Insanity, right? And nope, wasn't even me that asked/he went while I was still locking the apt up as we're always conscious of this with non-fixed price services/goods.

(We play to Argentine racism to be honest; if people are gonna look down at him at cheto places (or even regular stores like Fravega) for being morocho, he's gonna be the one that asks the prices of things in public since he's also quoted prices closer to reality)

I’d be inclined to agree if the software underpinning Rappi weren’t such trash. As a software dev some of the glitches I often encounter are funny at least
I work in tech too and my theory is that Rappi and Argentine apps all use locals who go to coding bootcamps and don't have QAs which is why their apps all suck since the talented devs work remotely for American or European companies lol

Dahi is a great Greek yoghurt ...!! The investment and time requirements. for home production, is not for everyone. available in most supers . Price estimate $1500 pesos for 200 grs.

Jumbo sometimes has them on sale for around whatever a blue dollar is/bottle, and they taste pretty good, though I personally prefer yogurt with less whey.

The old adage will never die: pay peanuts get monkeys.

Sadly in a relative vacuum there’s little incentive to improve UX

I dont eat cake or drink coffee. (Mate is up, close to double, though)
But I do get some laundry done. I generally hand wash t shirts and shorts and socks, but my local, around the corner is still doing a big bag that is well over a kilo, for between 8000 and 10,000 pesos. I cant say I weigh my laundry, so I dont know for sure.
There is no doubt EVERYTHING is more expensive, but not the same percentage.
Its not some universal multiplier that is the same for everything.
Some things are more than double, others are up some weird amount less, or more.

So to iron 10 shirts and pants with socks you are looking at 120000 thousand pesos or 100 dollars . I was looking at ironing prices and they are indeed shocking . A normal lavenderia is now charging 2000 pesos just to iron a tie .

Ridiculous prices. Who can afford this? People need to resist. If you don't have a washing machine then try to wash as much as possible by hand. Ironing is not difficult. People need to learn that as consumers they have power. Refuse to pay overpriced items / services whenever possible. Stay home, don't go to overpriced restaurants. Entertain people in your home. And when you do go out, look over the menu carefully and order only what is the most reasonably priced.

I see that this place in Colegiales changes $40,000 to dry clean "smoking" ("tuxedo" in USA). Are there a lot of Black Tie parties in Colegiales?

There is very little need for this in Argentina . Dry cleaning costs are indeed outrageous are vastly more expensive than overseas . Is there anything cheaper in Argentina these days ?

These are prices in Australia where the minimum wage is the highest of the planet. The prices are half argentinas . Please note that the prices quoted on the list are australian dollars which are 40% less than usa dollar
