Coffee and cake prices

Greek yogurt is very simple to make making the proces in argentina seem like pure robbery . Greek organic yogurt with the most creamiest texturre is 7 euros a kilo in greece Here this product does not even exist of this Quality . Greek yogurt is normally served with wild honey and chopped almonds or figs . It's a delicia
Panadería Armenia, they do it all as well as feta cheese and pastrami etc.

Interesting selection in their spice department; I see they sell zahtar, and garam masala, plus something called "tandoori mix" which I'd also like to try. The prices are around 2500-3000. I assume that's per 100g but it's not clear.

Ridiculous prices. Who can afford this? People need to resist. If you don't have a washing machine then try to wash as much as possible by hand. Ironing is not difficult. People need to learn that as consumers they have power. Refuse to pay overpriced items / services whenever possible. Stay home, don't go to overpriced restaurants. Entertain people in your home. And when you do go out, look over the menu carefully and order only what is the most reasonably priced.
I have a theory about restaurants that as prices rise (absent equally rising wages), the clientele that can afford the new prices are inevitably more affluent. They are by nature a more choosy class that are accustomed to higher quality standards. Those restaurants that were either mediocre in quality or mediocre in location found their old clientele couldn't afford the new prices and had no choice but to modify the menu to keep their old prices. The result is a smaller selection of higher end pricey restaurants to cater to new clientele and a veritable sea of lowfare joints offering your typical lomito, empanada, pizza, hamburgesa which is about all they can afford to cook for their old clientele. Just a theory...

Having been told that Buenos Aires was cheaper than Neuquen, it certainly wasn't the case in Palermo. $8,000 to park at the mall a couple hours. $15,000 for 3 ice creams at the zoo park. $60,000 for a BBQ sample platter at a local restaurant. $80,000 for an OXO lemon grip squeezer were just some of the eye watering prices I found. That being said, it was truly an amazing architectural landscape that left me with the impression that expats residing in BA have a truly unique experience that is likely hard to find even within the rest of Argentina.

For what it’s worth, given the subject line of this thread, here are the prices from a very nice cafe in Pocitos in Montevideo that I went to today.

$100 UYU is approx $2800 ARS (dollar at $1220).

The prices, overall, aren’t too dissimilar in Uruguay as they are in Argentina right now. Although, I’d say overall, Uruguay is just a bit more expensive in most day-to-day things, like food, transport etc.

Clothes, tech, homeware waaaaaay cheaper in Uruguay though.
