My computer seems to have trouble buffering programs since I moved to a new place. I had CableVision but the new place has TeleCentro

SpeedTest.Net tells me that I have 3.08 mb/s download - 0.26 mb/s upload - ping 38 ms. Does this sounds like enough speed to download the average movie without it stalling? Thanks

Depends on the quality. Decent, passable quality is about 200mb/hr or 58.25 kb/s.

Blueray or HD DVD movies can be 15GB/hr or 4.16 mb/s.

But that's just the math. Real world never works out as nicely but still, if you are getting 3.08mb/s, you should be able to stream most movies fine.

I just checked mine, 3.04 with a 9ms ping. I have no problems streaming most programs.

Edit: I'm also with Telecentro.

2nd edit: For an additional comparable point, I can stream this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6QuzOURBtQ&hd=1 no problem at 720p, no need to buffer. At 1080p it stalled to buffer 3 times, and generally appeared to be downloading and playing at nearly the same rate.

I'm actually getting 9.12 Download/0.88 Upload/19S on CableVision/Fibertel.
