Corruption And Cost Of Living And Expat Destinations

I only wish that all the countries where many of these immigrants come from had the same open door policy as Argentina does. But sadly most of them don't. Most actually treat their immigrants quite badly. So who is the one with the third world mentality ?

I have to agree with BH on this. One of the advantages of Argentina is the relaxed immigration policies. They are indeed very progressive on this. I overstayed twice and there was no drama and a very reasonable fine and no issues about reentry. Overstay your visa in most countries and believe me you will get drama and a hefty fine and a red mark in your passport that makes it difficult to impossible to reenter. One big positive for Argentina as an expat locale. I'm in Thailand now and when you re-enter by land you only get two weeks. One reason I would never stay in Thailand long term - the other being the bloody heat...
