Cost of living in Argentina for foreigners improving?

Work ethics in Argentina is the point. Doesn’t exist and excruciatingly annoying. Argentines historically been extremely self sufficient and lived a good life. But for the last 20 years they’re getting poorer gradually. Some still keep thinking they’re something else and they hit rock bottom and then some of them realise the situation. But too little too late. Lack of work ethics is the main cause of many things in Argentina. There was a post comparing Turkey and Argentina the other day. Very similar nations economically but Turkey is way better than Argentina because of work ethics. Almost everyone has an attitude in Argentina and businesses think they’re doing you a favor by selling their goods or services. This has to change.

Yet we all love this country! I bitch and moan all time but wouldn’t live anywhere else in the world 🇦🇷 💙
Not you all love this country. Most of you came to Argentina because you wouldn’t be able to afford that lifestyle a year and a half ago anywhere else. Now it’s harder to get out and go somewhere else. I’m happy for you that you’ve found your place. But not for me even though I’m an Arg. Not that I don’t love the country but knowing the past and seeing its state now really hurts and annoys me.

I've seen many attempts by foreigners to do business here. They invariably fail.
Even I failed and my brother in law who is born and bred Argentine. You need a different mindset to do business in AR.

I’ve been here since the very latter part of Cristina’s presidency when it was pricey, came to learn Spanish, not because it was cheap. The 2018-2023 cheap bubble was a bonus.

Today in Barcelona. AR company. But Spanish prices.

This is nearly half the price of Argentina . Cakes are luxury items in café here in Buenos Aires close to 10000 pesos is the norm

And yet now, suddenly, you want to lose the argument you had so hansomely won over two decades, finally decided in your favor on the other thread with the 29 thousand dollar dinner for two. Quit while you are ahead, man! If only one could buy a cake in BsA for only 10,000 pesos. That won't even buy 10 media lunas in most confiterias.
