When prices go down across the entire economy, it’s called deflation. Something that will not happen ever or not for a very long time in Argentina.

Not you all love this country. Most of you came to Argentina because you wouldn’t be able to afford that lifestyle a year and a half ago anywhere else. Now it’s harder to get out and go somewhere else. I’m happy for you that you’ve found your place. But not for me even though I’m an Arg. Not that I don’t love the country but knowing the past and seeing its state now really hurts and annoys me.

It was / is worse in Ecuador though. To the point that Ecuadorians began to verbally accost them in the street; telling them to get out.

Prices did NOT get 'cheaper'. Never. But the cost of pesos got cheaper. Next class!

Yes, Devaluation of the peso does give greater purchasing power for those with USD. That is not the same as prices going down. In most cases, local prices will stay the same and eventually will go up.

Consumer Prices in pesos won't drop. Prices in dollars most likely will.

If Milei loses they are going to drop in dollar terms bigly.

We arent talking about consumer prices, we are on an expat forum with people getting paid/recieveing USD.
