Cross Country Skiing in Ushuaia

I had a great week of cross country skiing last year in Ushuaia and plan to return there from 2 to 7 July. If anyone is interested I can provide more information.

I went to Ushuaia only for alpine skiing (sounds kind of weird to me, first time I "alpine" skied outside the alps) in Cerro Castor but on my daily combi-ride there I saw that there are really great areas for cross country skiing, bobsled tours, etc.

While the skiing experience was mediocre (old lifts, etc.) it must be great for cross country there. Just keep in mind that days are short in Ushuaia in winter!

Many thanks. Yes, the trails for cross country are quite extensive and linked so that you can ski the entire valley. Cross country skis and boots can be rented at Cerro Castor. There is an annual race called the Marcha Blanca, http://www.marchablanca.com/ in August
