I am going to Uruguay and was told there is now a reciprocity fee to go there and to Chile. I don't have my citizenship DNI in hand but I have permanent residency document for Argentina. .

I have always crossed easily with my Argentina residency DNI. Have any of you heard of any change? And what if a person just had a U. S. passport. That isn't my case but sometimes I have visitors so any information is appreciated. I know there have always (or for a long time) been fees when flying in but I am told it is no matter how you go in now. I can't believe it but thought I better check.

Haven't heard anything about Uruguay. Chile has had a reciprocity fee for years and is applicable even if you have a DNI.
